SCORE (The Path to Quality):
The following concept is based on the 6 s (not to be confused with 6 sigma) of the Toyota-style New Production System (NPS).
The original "6 s" is:
- Seiri = Tidiness or Sort
- Seiton = Orderliness or Straighten
- Seisou = Cleanliness or Sweep
- Seiketsou = Neatness or Sustain
- Safety = Always arrange work with safety in mind
- Shitsuke = Discipline
I have adapted the concepts for the United States and refined it based on my experiences in manufacturing. This concept makes an excellent addition to any ISO 9001: 2000 program.
